What is a peel and what can it do for me?
A peel consists of an acid, or group of acids, that work together to help remove the outermost layers of the Stratum Corneum (layers of dull, dead skin) from our face. Duo is a 64 acid peel with a 3.0pH that includes Mandelic – Glycolic – Lactic – Salicylic – Citric – Phytic Acids. A peel removes the outermost layers of dull, dead skin by dissolving the sticky bond that holds the excess layers. A few days after a peel has been performed, the loosened layers will be able to be removed. This can sometimes be seen by light flaking of the skin, but most times the shedding is not actually visible and is removed as you cleanse daily. By showing visible signs that your face is smoother – you can see the peel is doing its job.
Removing the top layers of the epidermis, we find many things happen. First the new skin is fresher, more able to retain moisture, smoother looking, pores appear refined due to the fact that they have been cleared, acne diminishes, and pigmentation starts to lessen. Second, as we remove the outermost layers of skin our bodies are prompted to create NEW tissues to replace the loss. With more new skin generating, the entire health of our skin improves. Exfoliation is a necessary part of taking care of your skin.
Before your peel read the following facts!
INDICATIONS: Re-freshening of the skin’s appearance for ALL Fitzpatrick skin types. Low irritation factor. Improvement of fine lines and wrinkles, melasma, uneven skin tone, post inflammatory pigmentation, freckling and roughly textured skin. Acne (inflammatory and non-inflammatory).
PRE-TREATMENT: Follow daily Iaso antioxidant regimen with Pomica, Sol, Luna and Ojos every day. Use Iaso oil as necessary for extra hydration if needed.
POST PEEL: Immediately following Iaso Peel Duo application, neutralization and rinsing, you will apply calming Iaso Oil as needed. Continue with Iaso antioxidant regimen and use an SPF 30-50+ cream each day to protect your fresh, new skin if you are going outdoors.
PRECAUTIONS: Recommended For: Dry, Normal, Oily, Pigmented and Acne skin types.
